I am a PhD student at the Center for Geospatial Analytics at North Carolina State University under Dr. Sankar in the Climate, Hydrology and Water Resources Modeling and Synthesis Group. My research explores the remote sensing technology for flood forecasts and reservoir monitoring in ungauged locations.
My passion also lies in advancing women in STEM. I co-founded a nonprofit ("Waffle") in Japan that aims at empowering young women in technology, and continue to channel my energy to close the gender gap in STEM. Currently, I serve as a member at the Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence to foster gender diversity in AI. (Read more on Women in STEM page!)

Evaluating the Passive Microwave Remote Sensing on Daily Streamflow Forecast in the CONUS
STEM Gender Gap
We study whether having more women in STEM departments increases female high school students’ preference for attending those departments through an incentivized hypothetical choice preference elicitation. https://doi.org/10.1257/rct.12577-1.0
